Group work: Testing the student`s knowledge about culture, traditions and customs of different people

Aim: This group work focus on different traditional, cultural and religious´ expressions, and will prepare the students for a lecture on tolerance and the role of media in intercultural communication.

All the participants are divided into teams and each team is given a bright-coloured flag. The first team that is ready to answer the question raises their flag and answers the question. If the answer is correct, the team receives a card from the instructor. If the answer is wrong, the instructor passes the question over to the next team that raised their flag. Finally, the teacher will point out which team has received the most cards and will present the results. The teams will then come together for a plenary session. The teacher will focus on the students' understanding of ethnic tolerance and encourage a discussion and exchange of opinions.
